Since opening in 2007, the Edinburgh Bookshop has become one of the most popular and celebrated shops of its kind in the capital. In 2018, it won ‘Scottish Independent Bookshop of the Year’, and it has been described by author Alexander McCall Smith as ‘the city’s best independent bookseller’. It is located in Edinburgh’s Bruntsfield area, and there are many cosy cafés nearby where you can enjoy the books you purchase there. Alternatively, settle in on the bookshop’s sofa and read at your leisure.
