NextFounded in the 110s, now only the ruins of Kilwinning Abbey remain. Formerly a Benedictine monastery, it was lived in by monks for more than 400 years before being abandoned and disused during the Reformation. Now in the care of Historic Environment Scotland, many of the abbey’s original features remain intact.
