Oban’s Hutcheson Monument is an obelisk made out of granite which acts as a memorial to David Hutcheson. It sits overlooking Ardantrive Bay and so a visit here also comes with awesome sea views. Built around a superbly crafted central pedestal, the monument recognises Hutcheson’s innovative work around steam communication in the West Highlands & Islands of Scotland.
