What remains of Knock Castle on the Sleat peninsula overlooks the water around five miles north of the village of Armadale. Remodelled in the 16th century by Clan MacDonald, the castle was abandoned just a century later and many of the stones were used for buildings nearby. Some also claim the ruins are haunted by a Green Lady – a ghost who can tell the fortune of the family occupying the castle.
