This historic chapel is open to visitors between the hours of 8am and 5pm most days throughout the year and invites you to not only take note of its history but for quiet meditation or prayer, should you wish.
Founded in 1450, it has an interesting history. For example, in the Scottish Reformation it was a stronghold for Catholic forces. Its pulpit is the spot from which John Knox preached his three-day sermon. This gothic building is nothing short of stunning, a peaceful place and ideal for adding to your itinerary whilst in St Andrews.
