Beneath the Cuillin Ridge on Skye, the Coire Lagan is a gentle glen of clear water that is popular with hikers, walkers and even – in the right conditions – skiers. A smaller version of a traditional loch, hikers will go up more than 2,000ft into the mountain range before finding the lagan, which is a popular swimming spot.
