A small village in the West Highlands, Arisaig is a coastal hotspot overlooking Loch nan Ceall. With a population of around 300 people, it’s the remarkable scenery that attracts visitors. From the quaint white houses that dot the coastline to the hills and mountains, the village is also full of community-led projects and retailers that support the development of the local area.
Arisaig, which means ‘the safe place’ in Gaelic, is a small village in the western part of the Highlands. It has a pleasant atmosphere and makes a great base to explore the region. There are a number of amenities available, including a restaurant, café, hotel, and marina. The village was once the home of the famous 18th century Gaelic poet Alasdair Mac Mhaighstir Alasdair.
