Sandend Beach

Ride the waves, relax with a good book or create a sandcastle masterpiece at the picturesque Sandend Beach. Nestled on Scotland’s north-east coast, the small 17th century fishing village of Sandend welcomes visitors from miles around to enjoy its beautiful sandy bay. The excellent waves also make the beach very popular among surfers and simply watching their attempts to stay upright can prove a great way to pass the time. Keen historians will also delight in some of the remnants of World War II still on display around Sandend Beach, including a pill-box and anti-tank positions.
