WILLIAMSTONE FARM STEADINGS – THE BARN
Williamstone Farm Steadings are set in their own four acre plot of stunning farmland on the edge of North Berwick. ‘The Barn’ is just one of three choices of accommodation that Williamstone Farm Steadings have on offer alongside, ‘The Byre’ and ‘The Bothy’.

INTRODUCTION

‘The Barn’ is a grade ‘B’ listed building and started out life as a grain and cart store, which has since been beautifully restored. The Barn (as well as The Byre and The Bothy) is now a super stylish contemporary home away from home, with every detail carefully considered while still retaining the essence of its original character. The vast space and laid back vibe makes the Barn an incredibly comfortable haven to relax in, with luxury comforts and thoughtful details allowing you to settle in very quickly. Put on the wood burning stove and pour yourself a glass of something and then sink into the sofa where you can relax and unwind. With an abundance of space, Williamstone comprises three bedrooms, a snug, dining area, kitchen and a garden that is perfect for entertaining, complete with seating area and BBQ. The Barn is the perfect place to visit with a group of friends or to enjoy a family holiday. After speaking with the very lovely owner Steph, she informed us that groups often book out all three accommodations and can have the place in its entirety to enjoy. What a celebration that would be!
STYLE/CHARACTER
Upon arrival you may consider the steadings to look quite traditional from the outside – with a combination of rustic stone walls and red pantile roofs. However, you will quickly be greeted with fresh contemporary interiors and understated elegance from the moment you open the door. Flowing open plan interiors and a calming Farrow & Ball colour palette complement this laid-back and very yet stylish living space. It is so clearly obvious that each and every detail has been meticulously thought through and chosen with you in mind in order to make your stay comfortable and complete.
FACILITIES & SERVICE
All of the Williamstone properties have been renovated to the highest of standards with Poggenpohl kitchens with Siemens appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and induction hob) and Silestone worktops. There is underfloor heating and Kahrs oak flooring fitted throughout the properties. Other features include wall mounted flat screen SMART TV, wireless internet connection, RIAS wood burning stove, oak floors with underfloor heating, utility room with washing machine / tumble dryer. Entertainment is provided with a PS4 games console, selection of DVD’s, family board games and a Bluetooth speaker. Each property has their own private garden with outdoor seating/dining and BBQ area. Bathrooms are fitted with Duravit sanitaryware, Porcelanosa tiles, with underfloor heating and walk-in waterfall showers. Luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding, bathrobes and soap products by Fine Scottish Soaps are provided.
SLEEP
No matter what room you choose to lay your head in at The Barn, be sure to know that you are in for a treat. The gorgeous mellow colour palettes of the rooms and the Luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding with giant pillows for you to sink into, allows you to have the most calming experience. The Barn allows for 6 guests, with the option of Super-King or Twin Beds, which can be changed to suit your specific requirements.

THE AREA

Just a short train journey from the bustling city of Edinburgh you will find the beautiful seaside town of North Berwick. This is a great place for an away day or a seaside holiday. Here you will find two really good beaches, great views across the Firth of Forth, cafes, bars, shops, golf courses and the Scottish Seabird Centre. There are also museums, nearby castles and boat trips out to see the amazing gannet colony on the Bass Rock.
