Portnahaven

Portnahaven is a quiet village with beautiful views, a Post Office, church and a quaint little pub that does good meals. You will find it at the end of the peninsula at Loch Indaal although you have to drive along a single track road for the last 7 miles from Port Charlotte. It has a lovely little bay where you can often see seals coming out of the water to sunbathe. Across from the bay is Orsay Island and the Rhinns of Islay lighthouse. The houses are brightly painted in white and look out to the bay and a lot of these are let out to visitors in the summer. A delightful place for a quiet relaxing holiday.
