Footdee

Known locally as “Fittie”, this area of Aberdeen is worth a visit. It is an old fishing village found at the east end of the harbour. Its name is taken from folklore and thought to mean ‘Foot of the Dee’. It is a settlement that dates back to Medieval times, with the first recording of its existence in official documents in 1398.
