Bow Fiddle Rock

This is ancient rock which has eroded over the years to make the shape of the tip of a bow. It can be found at the Portknockie coast. This is of great interest to geologist, is stunning to see and makes for a great photo opportunity. If you are in the area and are interested in this type of rock formation then give yourself a little more time to explore the area where you will find caves near Findochty at low tide (be careful not to get cut off though) and also an unusual arch formation called the Whales Mou round the headland to the south of Portnockie.
