Witches Well

For those on an historical tour of Edinburgh, this commemorative well is easily missed. Located next to the ‘Tartan Weaving Mill’, it honours those who were persecuted for witchcraft during the Middle Ages. Commissioned by famed 19th century sociologist Patrick Geddes, it is well worth visiting for those with an interest in the history of the region.
