Westburn Park is one of Aberdeen’s most popular spots in the city for families to enjoy a day out. Featuring a huge amount for active types to get stuck into, including football pitches, both indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a skate park, a children’s cycling proficiency track, and even world championship standard bowling greens, the 10-hectare park is busy year-round. Visitors can also enjoy the tranquillity of an open section of the GIlcomston Burn which runs through the park – also popular with children racing sticks under the bridges. Westburn House – a classic mansion, designed by Archibald Simpson in 1839 – is another of the park’s impressive features.
