An alabaster tribute to Sir George Bruce and his family can be found in the ruins of the abbey. A tomb house that was fully restored in 1905, Bruce built Culross Palace – a key landmark of the town – and was a notable shipping merchant during his lifetime. Now, the tomb remembers not just him, but his wife and eight children.
