How about a holiday in the 16th century tower wing of a 13th century castle in Aberdeenshire. The Tower has two bedrooms accommodating four guests, a small sitting room and a large bathroom. The rooms are on the second and third floor of the building with a view over parkland from the main bedroom. This is Bed & Breakfast with a difference. The owners of the castle live in a separate wing but guests can have the use of the Billiard Room on the ground floor, the large garden with croquet lawn and the tennis court. The location makes a good base for exploring the east coast towns such as Stonehaven and Montrose, the beautiful beach at St Cyrus and the nearby golf course in Edzell. A little further afield you can visit St Andrews further down the coast or go inland to Royal Deeside.
