This is truly an outstanding restaurant and a must if you are in the area and can afford it. It’s expensive but certainly a cut above the rest. The head chef is Ross Cochrane and he changes his menu to suit the local produce available and focuses on Scottish dishes.
The restaurant opened in 2016 and is already in the Michelin Guide and has won North East of Scotland Restaurant of the Year Award 2017. It came about with the help of Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, the Dumfries House Trust Outreach Program, local businesses and the community.
