The Island of Inchmurrin

Inchmurrin is an idyllic and peaceful inland island in Loch Lomond. This 113 hectare island is also the largest inland island in Britain with some fascinating history, including memorable people visiting the island including Mary Queen of Scots and Robert the Bruce.

It was also once a retreat for the Earl of Lennox and his family, you can still see the ruins of Lennox Castle on the island.

Owned by three generations of the Scott family who live and work on the island, it makes for a fantastic getaway with various accommodation available.

Visitors can also enjoy some of the most picturesque beaches and enjoyable walks around the island.
