Although taking a midnight swim in Scottish weather may not be in your immediate holiday plans, Stonehaven’s outdoor pool has become a mainstay of Aberdonian life. By heating their Olympic sized pool to a toasty 29oC, people have dipped in the Stonehaven pool for an incredible 87 years. Using seawater instead of fresh means that, even beneath a grey Scottish sky, Aberdeen still has a taste of the Med.
