The ruins of St Andrews cathedral are a sight worth seeing. Perhaps it is the rocky stretch of beach known as Castle Sands that adds an air of enchantment to the scene, or maybe it is the thought of thousands of mediaeval religious pilgrims making their way to what was thought to be one of Scotland’s biggest cathedrals.
Even as a ruin, it is impressive – as you stand among its magnificence, just imagine how big, how imposing and how impressive it would have been. For only a few pounds, take in the history at the cathedral’s museum, which also includes access to St Rule’s Tower and the stunning view from the top.
