St David’s Well

Hidden in the Weem Forest and sheltered by the hanging Rock of Weem, St David’s Well is considered a holy landmark near Castle Menzies. The castle was believed to have been the place of an oratory started by St Cuthbert, who moved into the forest in the 14th century to become a hermit.
