NextOne of the most iconic golf courses in the world, St Andrews Old Course has been played on by some of history’s greatest players and played host to the Open Championship more than any other course in Scotland. Home to the famous Hell Bunker and Swilcan Bridge, the course is open for anyone to practice their skills.
St Andrews is well known for being the home of golf. A trip to St Andrews would not be complete without taking the short walk from the town to the sea front where you will find the famous Old Course where golf has been played for around 600 years. Golf lovers from around the world come to play the Old Course or maybe just stand and watch as golfers tee off at the first tee or take a picture of the Swilcan Bridge. Golfing legends from all over the world have played this course. Even if you are not a golfer yourself you can’t help feeling the sense of history and occasion around this lovely old course.
