Cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, this humble cottage was the birthplace of Scotland’s most beloved poet, Robert Burns. Housing more than 5,000 artefacts from the poet’s life – including handwritten manuscripts – the museum details his early years in Ayr and takes you on a guided tour around many of the local sites that inspired his work.
