Portpatrick is a picturesque seaside holiday village in the south of Scotland on the Rhins of Galloway. It’s a popular holiday resort with lots to offer its visitors. There are a variety of boat trips including nature spotting, fishing and sightseeing. From nearby Cairnryan and Stranraer you can take a ferry over to Ireland. It has lots of pubs and restaurants offering a good variety of food and drink and some lovely little gift shops for you to browse around. The walks along the cliffs offer some spectacular views and the lovely beaches are also a great place for a walk or a family day out. There is no shortage of things to do with lots of nearby gardens and interesting towns and villages to visit, a top quality golf course and some great live music especially during the Portpatrick Folk Festival in September.
