‘The People’s Story’ museum aims to tell the story of Edinburgh’s working-class from the 18th century to the present day. This is done through the use of both written and oral sources, as well as through multimedia displays and waxworks. You’ll learn everything about the daily lives of the city’s inhabitants throughout its long history – including how the people worked and what they did during their free time. While you’re there, make sure you look around its sister museum, the ‘Museum of Edinburgh’, that is located opposite. It will provide a broader picture of Edinburgh’s past that complements the displays in the ‘People’s Story’ museum.
