There are few places in Scotland as replete with wildlife as the Montrose Basin. With an enclosed area of 750 hectares, the reserve is an incredible way for people of all ages to see an extraordinary number of birds, seals, and other coastal wildlife. Over 80,000 birds live within the Montrose Basin, covering many different species, and the fantastic visitors’ centre provides fun and informative ways to learn more about each one. Binoculars and telescopes are installed throughout to give visitors an up-close look, all surrounded by the rolling Angus landscape.
