NextTake a deep breath. Release your shoulders and breathe in the pure, country air of the Loch Venachar Lodges.
An idyllic Lochside escape an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh, this location inspires the simplicity of the countryside, the sense of renewal and calm that comes with being so deeply wrapped in natural space. It’s the perfect spot to escape to nature or to act as a base to explore the beauty of the surrounding Trossachs National Park.
Each of the Loch Venachar Lodges has been expertly crafted and designed with a sleek, contemporary feel that complements, rather than detracts, from the majesty of its surroundings. Currently, two are available – with a third in construction.
Coorie, built just steps from the loch waters, is a sculpted, modern building that offers the most extraordinary panoramic views from its windows. The house has been built ‘upside down’ to maximise the view from the upstairs and ensure the downstairs bedroom feels cosy and comfortable. Look close enough from the upstairs – or indeed, from your private hot tub – and you’ll see Ben Venue and Ben Ledi in the distance.
The second house is Carsaig, a beautiful family holiday home that’s spacious and bright. Not only does it come with a private lochside beach and jetty, but its garden is perfectly enjoyable when it’s warm. If you’re not spending every day enjoying the water, the house comes with plenty of amenities to keep you busy – from board games to streaming services to its very own piano.
Nearby, the Loch and its natural surroundings are a paradise for thrill-seekers and relaxers alike. Non-motorised watersports and wild swimming dominate the water, whilst those ready to put on their hiking boots can head up to the mountain ranges or down into the woodlands and forest roads for walking, running and cycling.
