NextHome to watersports in the Cairngorms, Loch Morlich remains one of the most popular tourist attractions in the whole park. A natural gem surrounded by mountains and forests, edged with beaches, it’s the place to go for mountain skiing, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and so much more.
This shimmering loch is surrounded by the mighty trees of Glenmore Forest, the pristine Morlich Beach and a picture-postcard backdrop of the peaks of the Cairngorm mountains, it’s no wonder it’s considered to be one of the finest lochs in Scotland.
It’s set in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, just a few miles from Aviemore.
On the beach, you will find Loch Morlich Watersports, where you can rent a variety of equipment including Kayaks, Canoes, mountain bikes, and wind paddleboards. There is also a fantastic walk around the loch which is highly recommended.
