Loch Ard

This idyllic freshwater loch is situated close to the town of Aberfoyle, which is known as the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

This shimmering loch was once described by poet Sir Walter Scott as ‘an enchanting sheet of water’ and with one look at this loch you will understand why.

It’s a loch that seems to have it all, for adventure seekers it’s sheltered location means it’s often very calm, offering an ideal spot for water sports.
