NextVisit on a particularly clear day and the view from the Kiel Cave will stretch right across to the coast of Northern Ireland. Once believed to have housed people, archaeologists uncovered artefacts within the caves. Local legend suggests that the caves have a deeper religious significance, thanks to their closeness to St Columba’s footprints.
