Part of the freshwater loch on the Cowal peninsula, Jubilee Point is a popular picnicking spot beside its namesake bay halfway along the loch. A particularly peaceful area, Loch Eck is notable for its animal residents, including the famous Scottish red squirrel, salmon and the country’s most rare fish, the powan, a protected species from the Ice Age.
