House of an Art Lover

Found at the northern end of the impeccable Bellahouston Park, House of an Art Lover is inspired by the designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1901, who envisaged the space as an elegant country retreat. The House of Art itself was constructed between 1989 and 1996 and contains an art gallery, exhibition space and a café, while it is also used to host events and conferences. Around the outside of house, you’ll find play areas, art studios and a number of sculptures to enjoy and admire.
