Standing on the Garleton Hills in East Lothian, the Hopetoun Monument stands at around 95 feet tall. Created in memory of the 4th Earl of Hopetoun, John Hope, the monument is a Category B listed building and is often called the ‘Galla Monument’ by locals. If you can brave the 132 steps, a viewing platform at the top will get you spectacular views over the Firth of Forth.
