Helesburgh is an attractive holiday resort on the Glasgow to Oban rail line. A popular day out with the family from Glasgow and all stops in between. It sits on the River Clyde, has a long wide promenade with ice cream parlours, cafes and shops. A visit to Hill House designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh is a ‘must see’. The town makes a great base for visitors to Loch Lomond or en route to Oban or Fort William. There is a good golf course in the town and in nearby Cardross both with stunning views across the Clyde. Within walking distance of the town you’ll find the yachting centre at Rhu.
