Grey Mare’s Tail, Moffat Hills

Cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, this stunning waterfall is one of the UK’s highest falls. With a 60m drop, the landscape was created by millennia of glacial change. It’s a great spot for wildlife lovers, with plenty of birds, mammals – and is also home to one of the rarest freshwater fish in the UK, the vendace.
