Here are the last remaining ruins of a Mulberry Harbour – an artificial harbour that was constructed for sea trials during the Second World War. Though now only seven pontoons remain of the original structure, this scheduled monument would have been used to unload soldiers and equipment from large ships, likely in preparation for the D-Day landings.
