Fort George

The whole Invernesshire area is full of ancient history and unique attractions. Fort George is no exception and is an 18th-century fortification that is grand in scale. Located to the northeast of Inverness, close to Ardersier, it was constructed in 1745. This fortress is open to visitors and contains many exhibits which show the forts history.
