NextThe ancestral home of the Duke of Roxburghe, Floors Castle is a Category-A Listed building dating back to the 18th century. Featured in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes, the house is considered one of the most iconic in Scotland and is open regularly for tours and special events.
Floors Castle is a huge fairy-tale castle that is a joy to see and visit. There is bound to be something of interest for all the family. The castle itself was built by the architect William Adam in the 18th century and remodelled through the years to create the stunning looking building that it is today. Inside is a delight of grand rooms, beautiful views and interesting collections. This is the home of the 10th Duke of Roxburgh.
Outside you will find a variety of styles of garden from the formal Millennium garden to a family friendly Walled garden and a Victorian Kitchen garden. The Walled garden has a playground for the children. If you feel like a longer walk you can follow one of the Woodland or Riverside trails through the estate or even bring your bike and cycle.
There are two cafés to choose from and a shop and Deli with gifts and home-made produce to be tempted by.
