This is the home that the voice of Scotland, poet Robert Burns, built for his family and wrote the immortal words of Auld Lang Syne. A rural farm, Burns built the place in 1788 for his wife Jean on the banks of the River Nith. His study, perfectly preserved, where he wrote some of his most beloved works, is there to be explored – as is the home where he and his family spent their time.
