Elgol

Found towards the end of the Strathaird peninsula, Elgol is a small village that overlooks Loch Scavaig. With a long, storied history, Elgol was visited by Bonnie Prince Charlie – or the Young Pretender as he is often known – as he waited for a boat to the mainland. Now, the scenic island is a popular holiday destination and easily accessible by a privately-owned boat trip.
