NextThis legendary local café and deli in the bucolic village of Beauly, once nicknamed ‘the 20 Pound Shop’, a nod to the shelves overflowing with must-have artisan products from the Highlands and islands, changed hands in 2022. New owners, brother and sister Lewis and Tara Jaffrey, are continuing the legacy while putting their own stamp on the business. Now dubbed an eatery, cellar and fine grocer, popular favourites such as the signature fish chowder made from Shetland smoked and white haddock, poached salmon in white wine, caramelised leek, potatoes, sweetcorn and fresh dill, with a chunk of crusty Cromarty bread, are still on the menu but you can now also tuck into new additions including a range of gourmet stonebaked pizzas.
