Coachman’s Cottage is a cosy well appointed, 19th century coach house based in the heart of Blairmore Farm, built in the original coach house of the farm with original arched windows. The cottage has two luxurious super-king ensuite bedrooms which can be made into twin beds should you wish. The sitting room is south facing with patio doors into an enclosed garden overlooking the Strathearn Valley. With a wood burning stove (logs are included in the rental) large LED television with DVD player, this room lends itself perfectly in all weathers to relaxing with friends, family or with a good book or film from our onsite DVD library. The modern kitchen is amply equipped with all the appliances needed to cook up a storm using our own farm produce or heat up one of the meals from our Farm Kitchen Menu (5 burner gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer with water dispenser and dishwasher). A lovely feature of the kitchen is the antique wagon wheel table. Downstairs there is also an additional toilet and equipped utility room. Coachman’s Cottage is ideally located for both relaxing rural getaways or as a base to explore Perthshire and the Highlands of Scotland.
Blairmore Farm, is a five-star collection of holiday cottages converted from the farms 19th century stone steading. It is a 60 acre, working, rare breeds farm with Highland Cattle, sheep, rare breed pigs, Clydesdale and Shire horses as well as chickens and a market garden. We produce all of our own eggs, beef, lamb and pork along with seasonal vegetables and soft fruits which we use in our Farm Kitchen.
There is a bar on site with a pool table and large screen as well as our new Orangery to relax in. We have an online farm shop where you can buy the farms produce or even meals prepared in the catering kitchen if you don’t fancy cooking! We are also able to supply freshly baked bread and breakfast pastries throughout your stay.
