City Art Centre

Located in a former warehouse beside Waverley train station, the City Art Centre is devoted to historic and contemporary Scottish art from the 17th century to the present day. Amongst its 4500 items, you can find examples from all of the great Scottish artists throughout history – including The Scottish Colourists, Allan Ramsay, Sir Henry Raeburn, and many more. As well as beautiful paintings and drawings, there are also photographs and sculptural works. With its convenient city centre location and fascinating artworks, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the capital.
