Cardoness Castle

A former fortified residence built in the 15th century, the ruins of Cardoness Castle are nevertheless well-preserved. Some original artefacts have been retained from the castle, including stone carvings on the walls and some of the architectural structure, like a grand fireplace. At the top of the hill, you can look out over Fleet Bay and Solway Firth.
