Sitting on the banks of its namesake loch, Campbeltown is a former royal burgh that is now for Scotch whisky and fishing. It’s one of only five areas in Scotland to be named a distinctive malt whisky-producing region. The town also has a Beatle for a neighbour – Paul McCartney owns a farm just outside of Campbeltown.
