Found along a stretch of the River Forth, only the ruins remain of this Augustinian abbey, dating back to the 10th century. Established by King David I, it was considered one of the most important abbeys in the nation thanks to its proximity to the former capital, Stirling. The site is now managed by Historic Scotland.
