Connecting east and west coast, this impressive canal was built in the early part of the 19th century by Thomas Telford. Two thirds of it are natural in origin, consisting of four beautiful lochs – one of which being the (in)famous Loch Ness. You’ll find impressive scenery along the canal’s 60-mile length, which can be enjoyed either on foot, bike or boat.
