Overlooking the Southside of the Firth of Forth, Blackness Castle is a fortress that dates back to the 15th century. Part of the former royal burgh of Linlithgow in West Lothian, the castle was once the residence of the Scottish monarch. Following significant restoration, the castle is a historic monument that was featured in the TV show ‘Outlander’.
