Ben A’an is a popular Hill located within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Walkers flock to this 454 meter high miniature mountain and with good reason, it’s a relatively easy walk up to the summit and once there you will be treated to some of the very best views on offer in the area.
The walk starts at the car park on the banks of Loch Achray, a small freshwater loch around 7 miles west of Callander, and takes roughly 1.5 hours to reach the summit.
It’s a relatively gentle walk and can get a little steep in places. The path will take you through some beautifully atmospheric forest and moorland, once you have reached the summit, be ready for some spectacular views over Loch Katrine, Loch Achray and the surrounding hills.
Once finished, why not head to the Byre Inn, on the west side of the village for some well earned refreshments.
