The village of balmaha is very popular with tourists and acts as a base for many visitors to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It lies on the Eastern Shore of Loch Lomond and is home to the Balmaha Visitor centre at the foot of Conic Hill. The centre offers internet access, children’s activities, toilets and a wealth of knowledge about the area. It’s also popular with walkers taking on Scotland’s best loved, and most popular long distance walk, The West Highland Way. When visiting the area be sure to indulge in the St Mocha Coffee Shop and Ice Cream Parlour, where you can feast on some fantastic cakes and ice creams, which is a fantastic treat after a long day exploring the area.
